MACRO CASCADE will prove the concept of the cascading marine macroalgal biorefinery. This is a production platform that covers the whole technological chain for processing sustainable cultivated macroalgae biomass – also known as seaweed –   to highly processed value added products. MACRO CASCADE address a large number of important challenges, barriers, and thresholds encountered in previous and ongoing projects related to refining seaweed biomass. Successful conclusion of the project helps substantiate strategic decisions of policy makers, industrial stakeholders and potential investors.


AtSeaNova combines the specific knowledge of HoldiNova, a business holding company specialized in the marine system protection and collection of algae and the experience of At-Sea Technologies founded in 2016 by 5 partners companies active in the European Project AT-SEA.

In 2018 HoldiNova group, invested in At-Sea Technologies as a majority partner to raise the company to a higher stage, more efficient and specialized in its area under the name of AtSeaNova. Today, AtSeaNova has all the knowledge in house to supply industrial turnkey seaweed farms and the corresponding consumables according to the latest technologies.
