- What do I need to consider when booking flights?
To secure the best fares and ensure availability, it's advisable to book your flights well in advance, especially if you plan to travel during the peak summer season. Early booking also gives you more options and flexibility. We advise to book your flights until February 2024.
- Is it easy to find an accommodation?
There are various accommodation options ranging from hotels and guesthouses to bed and breakfasts and campsites. However, due to the limited number of accommodations, it's recommended to book in advance, especially during the peak summer season. We have arranged special prices for the conference delegates in some hotels. The booking links and prices will follow soon.
- Do I need a visa to visit the Faroe Islands?
If you are a citizen of a Schengen Area country, you can visit the Faroe Islands without a visa. Citizens of other countries should check visa requirements with the relevant authorities, typically the Danish embassy or consulate.
- What are the transportation options within the Faroe Islands?
The Faroe Islands have a well-connected road network, making it easy to explore by car. Renting a car is a popular option. Public buses also serve the islands, but their frequency may vary, especially in more remote areas. The suggested hotels are not far from the conference venue and can be reached easily.
- When will the site visit to Ocean Rainforest take place?
The exclusive site visit will take place on June 18, 2023. It is a full day trip.
- Will there apply any costs for the site visit?
No, there will not apply any costs for the site visit. The site visit is included in the conference registration. If you would like to participate in the site visit, please register for the conference. When filling out the registration form, you will be asked if you would like to register for the site visit.
