Accommodation & How to get there

The Faroe Islands can be reached by air or sea.

    • By Air: The most common and convenient way to reach the Faroe Islands is by air. Vágar Airport (FAE) is the main international airport serving the islands. Several airlines, including Atlantic Airways, SAS, and Widerøe , offer direct flights to the Faroe Islands from various European cities and New York. Please book your flights in advance.
    • By Sea: Another option to reach the Faroe Islands is by taking a ferry. Smyril Line operates a ferry service called Norröna that connects the Faroe Islands with Denmark (Hirtshals) and Iceland (Seyðisfjörður). The ferry provides an opportunity to enjoy a scenic journey but keep in mind that travel times can be longer compared to flying.

Here are some suggestions for hotels in Tórshavn:

The organizers have arranged special rates for some hotels at Tórshavn which are available for conference delegates.

The booking links and prices will follow soon.

    Hotel Brandan

    Oknarvegur 2

    FO -100, Tórshavn

Hotel Brandan is a green four-star superior hotel. It is located in the heart of Gundadalur only a few minutes walk from Tórshavn’s town square, the main shopping centre and the national football stadium and sports centre.

    Hotel Føroyar

    Oyggjarvegur 45

    FO-100 Tórshavn

The purpose of the hotel is to let you take in the surrounding nature. As you enter Hotel Føroyar, the journey to the view begins. This first part of the journey is the build up. Dark corridors like inside a puffin cave, with some hints of what is to come. Finally, you enter your room, open the curtains. There it is.

    Hilton Garden Inn Faroe Islands

    Staravegur 13

    FO-100 Tórshavn

Rest well at the new hotel in Torshavn, just five minutes from the beautiful Svartafoss Waterfall, Nordic House, and the National Museum of the Faroe Islands. There’s plenty of shopping, natural areas, and restaurants within a few minutes, and you can get around easily with a bus stop outside our doors.
