Jonas Kamasauskas is a distinguished engineer and entrepreneur in the field of seaweed and non-standard technologies. As the Head of R&D at Metal Production and one of the co-founders of Sirputis, he is at the forefront of developing innovative solutions for the seaweed industry. Jonas has been working in the seaweed industry since 2016, and his expertise lies in delivering non-standard seaweed equipment and solutions that can boost productivity, quality, and sustainability of seaweed cultivation.

With over seven years of experience in the industry, Jonas has led his team in the development of seaweed seeding, harvesting, pre-processing, and processing machinery such as machines for twine seeding, harvester operated on boat, washer, cutter, drier, grinder, freezer, blancher, and conveyor lines for seaweed processing factory layouts. His extensive knowledge in these areas has made him an expert in creating customized solutions that cater to specific client needs. He has been instrumental in the development of seaweed pre-processing systems that can increase production efficiency while reducing labor costs, ensuring that the industry remains competitive and sustainable in the long run.

Jonas is also a passionate advocate for the potential of seaweed to mitigate climate change, as it can sequester carbon and reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Through his work, Jonas is contributing to the development of a sustainable and profitable seaweed industry that can benefit both the environment and the economy.
