About the speaker: 

Christer Olausson is the Chief Executive Officer of Nordic SeaFarm. He was appointed to the role in August 2025, bringing extensive experience in strategic growth, sales, and business development from leadership roles in the pharmaceuticals and food industries. At Nordic SeaFarm, Christer leads the company’s efforts to scale its operations, accelerate commercialization of seaweed and strengthen its position in the rapidly growing sustainable seaweed market. His leadership focuses on advancing seaweed as a versatile, sustainable ingredient across sectors such as food, supplements and pet food, while driving the company’s mission to future proof industries by making seaweed widely available.

Nordic SeaFarm is a Swedish seaweed company founded in 2016 by six marine researchers. Today, the company controls the upstream value chain in-house, operating its own hatchery, seaweed farm, and processing facility. Nordic SeaFarm supplies dried seaweed as a B2B ingredient to a range of industries.
