About the speaker:
Starting in April 2025, Elin Njåstad will take on the role of CEO at the Norwegian Seaweed Cluster. Elin has worked within the field of seaweed cultivation, biology, research, and environmental monitoring. She has extensive experience in project management and communication from her previous work at the consultancy firm Rambøll.

The Norwegian Seaweed Cluster (NSC) is a cluster formed by Norwegian Seaweed Association to develop a robust and efficient innovation ecosystem for the macroalgae industry in Norway. The cluster is funded by Innovation Norway and the Members. NSC has 80 partners from the entire value chain, including the cultivators, research and development institutions, suppliers, investors, customers, and public financiers.
NSC focuses on marketing, production technology, framework conditions, product development and quality, and sustainability.
The cluster works to create profitable value chains with competitive products using macroalgae as a resource in food, feed, soil improvement and others.
