About the speaker: 

Lisa is Managing Partner for Maroon Venture Fund, a US-based emerging institutional investor and global impact platform focused on Health and Climate early-stage ventures at Pre-Seed to Series A. Its UK affiliate, Blue Oasis is headquartered at the European Marine Science Park in Oban, Scotland committed to supporting the expansion of the Blue Economy eco-system. Key focus areas are across the Seaweed Value Chain, Marine Science Applications for Human Health; Greenhouse Gas Reduction & Reversal; Coastal Resilience, Urbanisation & Waste Management; and Maritime Energy.

Over 25 years, Lisa has successfully founded and built institutional and entrepreneurial ventures; establishing a track record globally as a value-add board member, successful entrepreneur, investor, and banker facilitating US$30bn in capital including in private equity, venture capital, mezzanine, and venture debt. Lisa also sits on the Investment Committee for Wharton Impact Investment Partners, and serves as Executive Committee Member and as a Climate Ambassador for the UK Institute of Directors. Lisa holds an MBA in Finance from The Wharton School, and a BSE in Civil Engineering from Princeton University.
