Remko Hol is co-founder and Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) & Manager R&D of Olijck Foods, an innovative company focused on the protein transition by developing hybrid meat products. These products combine traditional meat with plant-based ingredients, such as seaweed and vegetables, to optimize both taste and environmental impact.
In 2016, Remko founded Olijck. The company started producing artisanal charcuterie, including dried sausages that were given unique flavors in collaboration with local breweries. Later, Olijck expanded to hybrid meat products under the label ‘Meat-You-Halfway’. These products consist of 50% to 70% meat and are supplemented with ingredients such as seaweed and land vegetables, which contributes to both taste and sustainability.
